1988 Golf CL - OAP OEM - New Wheels!

Project Threads..

I've decided to make the car a rolling project and get it legal again....

Then once its driving and ive finish paying for such things as a driving test etc... all the money from there on in can be focused on my car.

I need to stop fucking around, as I need to be mobile and on the road so I can get to school, and then university easier...

But once I have the money... good things will come:

Ponder over these:

The colour :)

I wanna get a classic american red interior and hopefully a bench seat :)

I wont put a mustang dash or anything in. I just wanna try make the interior look like it came standard in a classic red option.

Think the red interior would be cool with this steering wheel too.

Yeah :D

And the Walnut parts on the dash and brown carpet.

Thats an AMC pacer though, so chances of finding one of those wheels and getting it to fit is going to be difficult and expensive lol

I was sick of seeing the brown not going perfectly with the beige... its much more shit in real life haha..

The brown was too light.

I much prefer the black as it gives it a more OAP, Povvo spec which is what I want.

Nice to see you noticed the badge James :P

Thanks for kind words guys :)

No pictoral updates as of yet... but I got some yellow light spray then found one of my headlight lenses was cracked and would fail on mot, so been trying to get one as cheap as possible....

I also have my new pressed plates, and a new windscreen as this one was cracked.

Also should have a lead on some cheap chrome window surrounds from a GL!!!

i wished i could have that interior.. but old man grey tweed will definately work for now :D

Not really an update... found these two pics of my car from the day after putting the car back together... paint was like 2 days old at that point. Not sure if its just the pictures but all the fresh paint pictures the looks a really light cream, where now its like a deep beige / yellow.

Even though the car wasn't complete etc it just looked so nice at that stage.

Updates to come at some points this week.
