ET 35 corsa wheels

hi there wondered if anyone can help ive got a set of alloys with the et 35 and the tyres on them are 205 60 r15. Now i would like to know can i put 195 50 15 on these rims and the last time i put these alloys on the car it broke a wheel bearing a mechanic i know sed that the et size is to much and its just resting on the stub axle so do i need to uprate the stub axle thank you ps i had 205 60 r15when the wheel bearing broke so could this be the problem thank you

yeh you could put 195/50's on, mighthelp with the problem too

I assume this is a Corsa b?

Put skinnier tyres on! 205/60/15's are waaaay too big!!

195/45/15, 185/45/15 and 165/50/15 are they tyre sizes you want to be looking at.

As for the wheel resting on the stub axle, you'd need to have the offset a lot higher than ET35. Standard they are Et49, so to get them to rest on the axle your looking at ET55/60. It was probably the chunky tyres that were touching.

I ran 9" wide 15's with ET0 on my old Corsa van without any trouble with the bearings, and is still going with Chris who has it now, so the bearing was most likely to be on its way out to start with.

cheers mate im going to change the tyres and change the wheel bearing both sides should look the nuts when its done

ps love the van mate i remember seeing it at donny park 2008 and couldnt stop looking at for ages
