Gf's Lupo gets Zaino'd

Postby W3LSH on Sat Jul 19, 2008 10:39 pm

With Zaino getting rave reviews just about everywhere lately, I thought it would be rude not to give it a go myself and with the a local meet that night, it was a prime time to treat Suzzanah's Lupo

After seeing this product raved about and used on top marques such as Ferrari's and the like, the Lupo was ready to see what all the fuss was about

The plan was to achieve as much correction in the little time I had, whilst going for max shine

Started with once again the usual pre foam rinse and wash

Clayed with Sonus Green with Megs last touch as a lube
Dried with chemical guys miracle dryer

50/50

Bit short on the progression pics - onto the afters

After the correction work was carried out via a rotary using a elitecarcare cool foam pad and Megs 83

The Lupo was then treated to a IPA wipedown to remove any polish oils etc to prep the paint for the fussy Zaino application

mixed 50/50 with distilled water

Then onto the Z2 pro

This was left for 15-20mins untill it had bonded to the paint, this was then removed with a Z8 wipedown

The above was carried out again giving the following results

Very good finish mate!

How did you get on with the Z8? Never tried it before but am very interested in getting some. Does it strip any product already applied or literally clean the remaining polish/glazes etc that are sometimes left after product is removed with microfibre.

Zaino is very fussy to what it bonds too so you'll need to carry out a IPA wipedown before its applied so there are no products below that can be stripped :)

Looks awesome mate, really great finish.

Quick question, is the Z2 some kind of sealant as well or just the Zaino Grande Finale spray?

Whats the durability of the products like?

As a quick fix, try polishing by hand with Autoglym Super Resin. Its great stuff and although mostly fills the swirls it'll and improvement. :D

That Lupo is gorgeous though, the rims are spot on. Go so well with the paint colour too.
